With the latest updated terms of service you will have allowed google to show your real name and face alongside ads, under an expanded version of its “shared endorsements” program. This is what it means :
To stop Google from using details from your Google+ profile in its advertising, just head to the Shared Endorsements page on Google+.
Here you will find moreinformation about the details of the shared endorsements program with sample ads (refimage below) and at the bottom of the page you will find a settings option on the page: “Based upon my activity, Google may show my name and profile photo in shared endorsements that appear in ads.” Simply uncheck the box and click Save and you are done.
Thats it, you no longer have to worry about your face and name appearing in Google’s ads. This does not mean you opt out of all shared endorsements but just ads.
