30. What is a CPanel ?
cPanel, a short name for Control Panel, is an easy-to-use interface designed for managing website domains and hosting accounts. The objective is to allow users to smoothly control everything required to implement a effective website solution. In other words, it is a graphical interface for a set of automated tools which simplify the process of hosting a website.
A cPanel is used in conjunction with WebHost Manager or WHM, where you can create individual accounts, add domains to your server, manage hosting features and performing basic system and control panel maintenance.
The cPanel also has a command line and API based access features that allow software vendors, web hosting providers and developers to automate standard administration processes.
Your web designer or developer will require control panel access to upload website files, create and manage databses, set up email etc
